I'm Terry B. Johnson, second son and third child of four for George and Priscilla. I was born in 1947, in a suburb of Chicago IL. I lived in that area until my family moved to Oklahoma City, in 1957 (I think). For more details, please see my largely-dormant Blog. For now, suffice to say I'm retired from a career in wildlife conservation in North and South America, México and Canada. I have a wonderful first-and-only wife, two adult sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and five magnificent grandkids (2 girls, 3 boys). Most of my time is spent with my family (don’t believe what they say!), reading, bass fishing, working on my Ranger 520DVX bassboat, playing with fishing tackle (I hoard!) and occasionally writing. I'm also an active contributor to two award-winning national charities: C.A.S.T. for Kids, which benefits kids with special needs; and Fisher House, which provides ongoing no-cost medical and rehabilitation care for military veterans and their families.
I hope you'll consider supporting C.A.S.T. for Kids or Fisher House, joining one of my too-infrequent bass fishing adventures, or making use of my abilities and abilities as a writer and editor of hundreds of popular and scientific articles, agency and technical reports, books and other publications. My most unpleasant and difficult, but ultimately "succesful," editing job was taking a friend-and-colleague's 2000-page "life's work" book manuscript about raptors and whittling it down to 500 pages of text. The book was published, but the friendship died.
I might bite but I’m not venomous. Probably.
I don’t have a store, but that doesn't mean we can’t do business!
